Dear friends,
PLUGGY is now going through its final 6 months and is planned to finalise its activities with a grand Final Event on the 20th of November 2019 in Technopolis, Athens. During the summer, our friends in Greece and Kosice will be able to experience the PLUGGY apps up close and personal in the museums of Ioannina, Stimfalia and Dimitsana (Greece) and ESM (Kosice). Everybody is invited to start using the PLUGGY platform currently available under https://beta.pluggy.eu, where more stories appear every day!

PLUGGY App Challenge
Within the framework of PLUGGY an App Challenge took place in the first semester of 2019 in order to invite external developers to develop pluggable applications for demonstrating the pluggable nature of PLUGGY and its exploitation potential. There were both a dedicated section on the PLUGGY website and a social media campaign so that the participants could find all the needed information. Finally, the App Challenge committee chose the six finalists who get 1000 euros each. The final winner, who will get extra 4000 euros, will be announced after public voting during the PLUGGY Final Event that will be held on 20th November 2019 in Athens, Greece.

PLUGGY 7th Plenary Meeting in Malaga, Spain

PLUGGY plenary meeting took place on 9-10 April 2019 in Malaga, Spain. Not only interesting presentations about each WP separately but also presentations of the updated Pluggy platform and parallel workshops in which the partners explained to externals, invited to experience Pluggy, how to actually use all the PLUGGY apps! Moreover, in the afternoon the partners divided in groups, competed during the Malaga Challenge in which they had to find the artworks of the artist Invader which were hidden in Malaga streets.

PLUGGY @ ECHIC 2019 in Athens, Greece

PLUGGY was presented by ICCS at ECHIC 2019 which was held in the Byzantine Museum in Athens, Greece on 4-5 April 2019. The conference was hosted in collaboration with the University of the Peloponnese and other participating Greek education and cultural institutions.

PLUGGY @ AES Conference on Immersive and Interactive Audio Conference

PLUGGY participated in the AES Conference on Immersive and Interactive Audio that was held in York, UK on 27-29th March 2019. A PLUGGY paper entitled ‘The 3D Tune-In Toolkit VST Binaural Audio Plugin’ was presented by our partners ICL & UMA on 28th March with a lot of excitement for the PlugSonic Soundscape app by the participants.

A very interesting art exhibition took place on 18-20 December 2018 along with PLUGGY’s plenary meeting in Athens, Greece. Graduate students from Vakalo Art & Design College got inspired by PLUGGY and created an exhibition with videos and AR posters.

UPCOMING EVENTS
The PLUGGY Pilot Activities are coming soon!
You are all invited to use the PLUGGY apps during the four PLUGGY Pilots, which will be held this summer in four different museums in both Greece and Slovakia.
In Greece, the three museums that take part in the Pilots and will host the PLUGGY apps, belong to the Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation's (PIOP) Museum Network: The Open-Air Water Power Museum, in Dimitsana, Peloponnese, the Silversmithing Museum in Ioannina and the Environment Museum of Stymphalia in Stymphalia, Corinth.
The East Slovak Museum in Kosice, Slovakia is the fourth museum in which you will have the chance to experience PLUGGY.
Don’t miss the chance to combine a visit to these wonderful museums with the unique experience of using the PLUGGY apps! Stay tuned for more information soon!
